USA Today best-selling author Olivia Gates transports listeners to exotic lands where the only things hotter than the desert sun are the romances beneath it. I also liked the more exotic desert setting and there were enough steamy scenes without feeling excessive. It wasn't excruciating drama for the sake of excruciating drama they behaved like adults and were able to resolve the matter through reasonable and believable means, without sacrificing any of the plot or the feel of the story. ![]() I especially appreciated how the couple worked out the Major Conflict between them near the end. Harres & Talia's banter was fun, and the plot was decently crafted. But let's face it-that's what we're here for. ![]() The man is, of course, an exquisite and preternaturally wealthy Adonis while the woman is usually some sort of wallflower-ish type who thoroughly blossoms into her full womanly potential while under his care/protection and, I need not add, his bedcovers. ![]() To Tempt a Sheik is your classic Harlequin Desire romance. ![]()
